| Day #2: Cingoli Tour |
We leave San Severino Marche to discover Cingoli, a small town perched on the top of a hill and called “Balcone delle Marche” since ancient times because of its panoramic position, an enormous balcony on the top of Mount Circe where you can enjoy the fantastic view as far as the Adriatic sea and the vast outline of green hills cultivated with vineyards for the production of the Verdicchio wine of Jesi.
The town of Cingoli has recently been included in the list of the most beautiful boroughs in Italy, due to its town centre which is rich in historical buildings and important churches. The total distance covered on the first day is about 62 Km (38.5 miles) and is of medium difficulty with roads that are good for cycling on. The route crosses trunk roads that are not very busy, and with long stretches of flat land or gentle slopes. The view from Cingoli is certainly not to be missed together with the tiny typical country agglomerations characteristic of this area.
